Roger Rougier 1970 Single Modernist Table Acrylic Lamp Blooming Tulips Petals

Table lamp designed by Roger Rougier (1926-1993).

A vintage sculptural modernist piece, created by the French-Canadian designer Roger Rougier, back in the 1970's. It was designed as a tall blooming tulips petals and crafted with white milky acrylics. It is mount in a rectangular brass base with the plaque reading Rougier. A gorgeous classic piece with great eye appeal and beautiful glow. this piece stand out in any room. This is the variant of the open curved petals (blossoming tulip) instead the fluted closed ones (closed tulip flower).

Roger Rougier, was a French furniture designer and decorator, known for his innovative designs that combined traditional craftsmanship with modernist aesthetics. He was born in Paris, France and trained as a cabinetmaker before opening his own workshop in 1950. Rougier's designs were characterized by their clean lines, geometric shapes, and use of high-quality materials. He often incorporated unusual materials such as lacquered wood, glass, and metal into his designs, and his pieces were known for their elegant and sophisticated look. Rougier most famous designs include his "Cabinet for a Lady" and his "Staircase Bookcase," which were both innovative and functional pieces that showcased his unique design style. He was also known for his interior designs, which included both residential and commercial spaces. Note: It is in working condition and in great shape, one petal has been restored (imperceptible) at the base, the brass base show very minors blemishing as usual.  

Condition: The overall condition of this lamp is very good. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the parts. It is in working condition. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
