This is a rare and highly unusual Rondo table-desk petrol lighter, designed by Alfred Auth in Germany and patented in 1951. Dating from the early post-war period, this distinctive lighter embodies the innovative industrial design of the era, combining a sculptural round form with a bold combination of plated steel and colorful Bakelite.
