Art deco cabriolet travel desk clock designed by Rolex.

Beautiful convertible travel and pendant cabriolet clock from the European Art Deco period, circa end 1930. It was made with geometric patterns in Switzerland with foldable parts to be displayed in a table. Crafted in solid .925/,999 sterling silver with applications of black hot enamel.

The top part is suited with a hinged movable hoop to be used into a long chain sautoir.

The movement is mechanical manual movement reference: Carl F. Bucherer 935, with a silvered steel squared dial and black Arabic numerals with black steel hands with  photoluminescence.

Have a weight of 28.6 Grams and a measures of 40 mm by 25 mm by 8mm.

Signed and stamped, "ROLEX CFB 935 62 495 Pat #1651804".

Note: Case is based on the British invention patent No. 265 886, delivered on February 17, 1927, to Carl Friedrich Bosch, Pforzheim, Baden (Germany), for a “Improvements in or relating to Clocks”; also patented in Germany, Switzerland, U.S.A. and France.

It is in great condition with all part working. The movement is in correct running order.
