Robert Altman 1970 New York Geometric Ring In 18Kt Yellow Gold With 20.75 Cts In Diamonds & Tiger Eye

Modernist ring designed by Robert Altman.

A three-dimensional sculptural ring, with pyramidal shape, created by Robert Altman, back in the 1970's. This is an unique piece, crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with white gold accents.

The top part is embellished with a fancy triangular cut of a natural tiger eye quartz of 20 carats. The sides are accented, with two panels mounted with a pave setting of 18 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.75 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

The total weight of this ring is 22.4 grams and the actual size is 5, sizable. The top view measures are 24 mm by 20 mm and raise 16 mm over the finger.

Stamped, with the maker's mark and the gold assay hallmark, "L 18 KT".

Robert Altman, was born, July 14, 1923 in Vienna, Austria. In the 1940's after the war he moved to the United States and settled in New York city. Soon he open up his own jewelry design and manufacturing studio, named Robert Altman Inc. He was a real gifted great designer and his jewelry was sold in many up scale 5th avenue stores in the city and around all the united states. He was able to procure patents for all his unique designs and all his jewelry is mostly unique designs and one-of-a-kind pieces.
