Sculptural ring designed by Dinh Van for Pierre Cardin (1922-2020).
A three-dimensional sculptural Saturn ring, created in Paris France by Dinh Van for the house of Dior, back in the 1980's. This vintage spatial shaped ring, was crafted with sleek details in white gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. Embellished, with a round disc of 12 mm carved from natural black onyx.
Have a total weight of 3.9 Grams and the actual size is 6, sizeable.
Stamped outside the shank, with French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche and signed, "P. CARDIN".
Jean Dinh Van is a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "objects du Vertu".
