Jeweled leopard brooch designed by Kurt Wayne
An exotic vintage piece circa 1970's designed by the American jeweler Kurt Wayne. Made as an exuberant seated leopard, with the head facing back and moving the tail. This brooch was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and platinum accents for the gemstone's settings. Is embellished with applications of black hot enamel simulating the spotted skin patterns.
Suited at the reverse with a hinged vertical pin bar with a trombone twisted lock. This piece can be easily converted into a pendant to wear into a chain or a pearl necklace.
The body of the leopard is mounted, with 21 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, 1.26 carats and the collar necklace with an extra ten, 0.15 carats. all diamonds are F colorVS-2 clarity.
The eyes are set, with 2 round brilliants cuts of natural vivid Colombian green emeralds. 0.20 carats.
Have a total weight of 30.8 grams and a measures of 62 mm (2.45 inches) by 38 mm (1.50 inches).
Signed, stamped with the designer's logo and the assay hallmarks, "KW 18KT Pl.".
It is in perfect condition with gorgeous look.
