JAPANESE NETSUKE OF A SEATED MAN.
AWESOME CUTE PIECE CREATED IN JAPAN, DURING THE MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912), AROUND THE 1910. THIS IS THE DETAILED FIGURE OF A SEATED OLD MAN FULLY DRESSED WITH A BASKET OF FOOD (FISH?). MADE FROM NATURAL CARVING WITH EXCELLENT CRAFTMANSHIP AND FULLY DETAILED.
IS SUITED AT THE BASE WITH THE CHARACTERISTIC HOLES TO BE ATTACHED TO THE OJIME BALL AND THE INRO BOX. HAVE REMAINS OF THE BROWN-OCHRE INK ACCENTS AND THE SIGNATURE IS ENGRAVED UNDERSIDE.
THIS PIECE HAVE A MEASURES OF 22 mm BY 32 mm BY 35 mm AND HAVE A WEIGHT OF 21.8 Grams.
