*Modernist geometric cocktail ring in 18 kt yellow gold with 10.86 Cts opal

Modernist ring with Australian Opal.

An artistic sculptural piece, made in the norther region of Europe, probably Germany, circa 1970's. It was crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold. The design is composed by three asymmetric elements,  embellished at top, with six prongs that are holding an oval cabochon cut (23 x 13 x 6 mm) of a natural gem quality Australian opal of 10.86 carats.

The opal gemstone is from Australian origin, with no treatment, is well cut and have a gorgeous opalescent play of colors,

Have a total weight of 12.6 grams and the actual size is 6.25, sizable. The to view measures are 25 mm by 19 mm and raise 13.5 mm over the finger.

Note: This piece have a strong influence to the American artist jeweler Ed Wiener.
