Bombe cocktail ring from the Mid-Century.
An Italian retro piece from the mid-century period, circa 1960's. Designed with a geometric bombe shape, with a wavy patterns. This cocktail ring was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish.
Is embellished, with 6 curved and waved cut pieces, individually carved from natural Afghan blue lapis lazuli.
Pave set, with 51 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.53 carats, G/H color, VS-2 clarity.
The total weight of this ring is 16.9 grams and the actual size is 7. Is sizable and is suited, with a spring sizer inside the shank.
The top view measures are 28 mm (1.1 inches) by 22 mm (0.91 inch) and raise 19 mm over the finger.
Stamped with Italian assay hallmarks, "ITALY .750".
It is in perfect vintage condition, with all the original parts. As a note, the Afghan blue lapis-lazuli have remains and traces of gold and pyrite, giving and extra shiny to the surface.
