Beautiful bold pair of clip-on earrings, created in Italy during the mid century period, back in the 1960's. They has been crafted in a three dimensional bombe shape in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured and high polished finishes. Fitted with hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added if is need it.

Gemstones: Mounted with a pair of oval cabochon cuts (10 x 14 x 8 mm) of natural Sleeping Beauty Turquoises of 16.32 carats.

This mine is still active and currently produces copper. The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed.
