*Luca Carati Milan Contemporary necklace in 18 kt yellow gold with cacholong & 3.05 Cts in diamonds
Chained Necklace designed by Luca Carati.
A beautiful contemporary piece created in the city of Alessandria, Italy by Luca Carati. It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with very high polished finish. It is accompanied by the designer's links chain of 21.5 Inches (54.6 Cm) and the pendant is suited, with a movable bale of 7 mm.
The chain is composed by multiples oval shaped links, can be removed to use alone and have the option to be adjusted to use longer or shorter.
The pendant is framed, with a round double cabochon cut of a natural Cacholong white agate.
Mounted, with very fine selected 100 natural brilliant cuts diamonds. They are 42 white color less E/F color and 58 fancy yellow to vivid yellow. All diamonds have a combined weight of 3.05 Carats and are calibrated as VS-1 clarity.
Have a total weight of 60.4 Grams and the main drop decorative element has a measures of 50 mm by 40 mm (1.97 by 1,57 Inches). The chain length is 21.5 INCHES (54.6 Cm).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the Italian gold assay hallmarks and signed, "LUCA CARATI .750 *3770AL".
Cacholong, is also known as Kalmuck agate, is a form of Opals, although it is often mistaken for agate or chalcedony. A milky white colour with a Mohs harness of about 6, it is used for carving, cameos, etc. Found in Austria, Czech Republic, Mongolia and Uzbekistan, its name possibly comes from a river in Uzbekistan.
