*Kutchinsky 1973 London 18 kt & platinum ring with 1.25 Ctw of VS diamonds
Gorgeous etoile ring designed by Kutchinsky.
A vintage modernist piece created in London by the house of Kutchinsky in 1973. It was rafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and .900/1000 platinum. The ring's surface is highly polished and the shape of the body is semi cushioned squared, with a curved shape on top.
The platinum element, is set with 25 round brilliant cut diamonds, calibrated from .03 to .07 carats. All gems have a weight of 1.25 Ctw, E/F color, VS-2 clarity.
The total weight of this piece is 14.4 grams and the actual finger size is 5.75, can be sized 2 numbers up or down.
The top view measures are, 24 mm by 7 mm and raise 10 mm over the finger.
Stamped with British hallmarks for London; the makers mark K LTD, the letter S, for the production year 1973 and signed, "KUTCHINSKY 18KT PL. S".
Kutchinsky, was a jewelry company founded in the 1890 and was always based in London, United Kingdom. They has been very well know jewelry makers, with attention to fine quality, craft and well-made designed pieces, This piece was made in the beginning of the 1970's when the company was more focused on larger pieces right in step with the style of the seventies. As usual made in 18 karats gold this piece is one of the perfect examples of the late Kutchinsky mid-century taste.
