AN UNIQUE STUDIO PIECE DESIGNED BY KURT AEPLI (1914-2002) FOR THE JEWELRY ATELIER OF MEINRAD BURCH KORRODI. A VERY RARE VINTAGE UNISEX RING CREATED IN ZURICH SWITZERLAND, IN THE 1960. THIS GEOMETRIC RING IS TOTALLY HAND CRAFTED IN SOLID 18 KARATS OF HIGH POLISHED YELLOW GOLD.
CONCEIVED AS A SIMPLE GEOMETRIC WEARABLE MINIMALIST SCULPTURE WITH A CIRCLE FIGURE POPPING OUT FROM A CUBE SOLID PIECE. A METICULOUSLY FABRICATED PIECE WITH IMPECCABLE SHARP DETAILS.
KURT AEPLI BORN IN THE 1914, HE WAS A MASTER SWISS DESIGNER, TEACHER AND A GOLDSMITH. WAS THE CHIEF DESIGNER OF THE ZURICH FIRM MEINRAD BURCH, BETWEEN THE 1942 UNTIL 1967 AND THEM WHEN TRUDEL JUWELIER ACQUIRE THE FIRM, HE REMAINS AS THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR UNTIL 1980. HE ALSO MADE SOME DESIGN FOR OTHERS FIRMS LIKE GUBELIN AND PATEK PHILIPPE. WAS AN ACTIVE PROFESSOR AT THE ZURICH APPLIED ART SCHOOL BETWEEN THE 1945 UNTIL 1954.
THE WEIGHT OF THIS RING IS 35.2 Grams AND THE ACTUAL SIZE IS 6.75, SIZE ABLE. IS STAMPED WITH THE HALL MARKS "BURCH .750". HAVE A TOP MEASURES OF 24 mm BY 24 mm AND RAISE 4 mm OVER THE FINGER.
