Rare signet ring of the Masonic Scottish rite, from the late 19th century, circa 1890. Crafted in solid massive yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished surfaces
The rectangular part on top of the piece is incuse, chiseled and carved with a very meaningful symbol; the double headed eagle is one of the most prevalent and ancient emblems of the Scottish Rite. The Scottish Rite is one of the several Rites of the worldwide fraternity. There are other emblematic Masonic symbols on the flat top part.
Has a total weight of 21.4 Grams and the actual size is 9.75, sizeable. The top view measures are 23 mm by 16 mm (0.90 x 0.63 Inch).
Stamped, with the maker's mark and the gold assay hallmark, "18KT".
It is in pretty nice condition, with the normal traces of wear for a piece with over 100 years old.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
