Italy 1960 Modernist Earrings In Textured 18Kt Yellow Gold With Blue And Green Guilloche Enamel
Italian enameled clips-earrings.
Vintage colorful oval bombe pair, created in Vicenza during the Italian transitional periods of the mid-century to the modernism, back in the late 1960's. These pair of clips-earrings has been carefully crafted in solid textured yellow gold of 18 karats and are suited, with a pair of posts and comfortable omega backs for fastening clips.
Embellished, with applications of vivid green and blue hot enamel over a prepared guilloche surface.
They has a combined weight of 13.95 Grams and a measures of 22 mm by 14 mm.
Stamped, with the maker's mark and the gold assay hallmark, "5 VI .750".
Note: Guilloché is used in fine jewelry to enhance the appearance of brooches, rings and pendants. Guilloché enamel refers to metal pieces that have been given the Guilloché treatment and then covered with a translucent layer of enamel, giving the geometric patterns underneath the enamel a colorful hue.
