Italian enamel Orchid brooch with natural gemstones

Very handsome and colorful dress clip, created in Milano Italy during the mid-century period, back in the 1960. This attractive piece was made up in the shape of a stylized orchid with gem set pistils, crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and application of hard glass green enamel. It is embellished with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones and is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar with a mechanical safety lock. 

Diamonds: Mounted in a pave settings, with 90 round brilliant cut diamonds, 3.60 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

Sapphires: Mounted in four-prongs settings, with 8 round faceted cut of natural royal blue sapphires, 0.70 carats.

Emerald: Mounted in four-prongs settings, with 1 round faceted cut of natural vivid green emerald of 0.12 carats.

Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.

Weight: 33.60 Grams, (21.54 Dwt).

Measurements: 61 mm by 56 mm (2.41 x 2.21 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "M 18KT ITALY".

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
