Italian Figa arm-hand pendant.
Beautiful and unusual amulet pendant, created in Italy, back in the 1960's. The figa hand is carved from natural purple violet amethyst and is framed with a solid yellow gold mounting of 18 karats. The 3-dimensional design depicts an arm decorated with a bracelet ending with a clenched fingers at the base
Has a total weight of 28.7 Grams and a measurements of 80 mm by 20 mm (3.15 X 0.79 Inches).
Stamped, with the Italian hallmark for the assay and guaranty of the gold, ".750".
Note: A Figa is a talisman symbol worn to protect against the evil eye, and to bring good luck when given as a gift. It's depicted by a clenched fist, with the thumb protruding between the index and middle finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent, with normal surface wear, there is absolutely no damage to the carved amethyst, or to the gold parts. The bail is secure and in perfect working condition.
