-Italian 1960 Love Birds Brooch In 18Kt Yellow Gold With Turquoises And Rubies

Love birds brooch with gemstones.

This is a very beautiful brooch, created in Italy during the mid-century modernist periods, back in the 1960. This brooch has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished and textured finishes. Designed as a couple of love birds standing and playing on a tree-branch. Embellished with natural earth mined gemstones, such; four blue turquoises and two vivid red rubies. It is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar and a mechanical security lock for safety.

Rubies: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 round faceted cut of natural vivid red rubies with 0.20 carats.

Turquoises: Mounted, with 4 round and oval cabochon cut of natural blue turquoises with a weight of about 8 carats.

Birthstone: Turquoises for the month of December and ruby for July.

Weight: 7.95 Grams, (5.10 Dwt).

Measurements: 46 mm by 23 mm by 8 mm (1.81 x 0.91 x 0.32 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "OCEV .750".

Collateral: This brooch is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
