*Hermes 1970 Paris Desk mariner cylinder round box with anchor in sterling silver

Rare cylinder desk box designed by Hermes.

Beautiful mariner desk box made in Paris, France by the house of Hermes, circa 1970's. It is composed by two parts, the base, with 4 compartments in the interior and the lid, decorated with the figure of a ship's anchor.

This unusual box-case was crafted of solid sterling silver .925 / .999 and is decorated with an intricate geometric pattern in the shape of diamonds with the guilloche technique.

Have a total weight of 346.2 grams and a diameter of 75 mm (3.93 inches) with a height of 102 mm (4 inches).

Stamped, with old French hall marks; the Minerva helmeted head for the assay and guaranty of the silver, the maker's maitre cartouche E.T. and engraved with the signature, "HERMES PARIS".

It is in great vintage condition.
