Stunning piece, created by the American jewelry designers of Hammerman Brothers during the late mid-century period, back in the 1970's. This tiger brooch has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with highly textured finish. Suited with a hinged pin bar and a mechanical security lock.
The eyes are mounted in bezels with a pair of round Colombian green emeralds (0.06 carats) and the mouth with a pair of four-prongs setting holding round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.10 carats, F/G color. VS/SI clarity.
Has a total weight of 21.5 Grams and a measurements of 58 mm by 32 mm (2.28 x 1.26 Inches).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "HB 18KT".
Hammerman Brothers, was Benjamin, Bernard, and Hyman. They were descended from an eastern European family of goldsmiths who excelled in the art of jewelry and watchmaking. Before they serve in the us army in the world war II, the brothers worked in the bowery in New York city, which at that time was a significant diamond center. In 1946 the brothers decided to go into the jewelry business for themselves in New York city.
