Hammerman Brothers 1960 Large Geometric Cocktail Ring In 18Kt Gold With VS Diamonds
Sculptural cocktail ring designed by the Hammerman Brothers.
A vintage piece created in New York city by the American jewelry designers and makers, the Hammerman Brothers. Made, with geometric modernism patterns during the mid-century period, circa 1960. It was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and finished, with textured surfaces.
The top is embellished, with 10 four-prongs settings in white gold that are holding round brilliant cuts diamonds, 0.92 carats, F color, VS-2 clarity.
Have a weight of 27.95 Grams and the actual size is 9, sizeable, The top view measures are 39 mm by 43 mm (1.53 x 1.69 Inches) and raise 12 mm over the finger.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the designer's logo and the assay hallmarks, "HB 18 KT".
Hammerman Brothers, was Benjamin, Bernard, and Hyman. They were descended from an eastern European family of goldsmiths who excelled in the art of jewelry and watchmaking. Before they serve in the us army in the world war II, the brothers worked in the bowery in New York city, which at that time was a significant diamond center. In 1946 the brothers decided to go into the jewelry business for themselves in New York city.
It is in excellent condition with all the original patina.
