A MODERNIST AND SCULPTURAL PAIR OF SWIRL EARRINGS, DESIGNED BY TORUN IN THE 1967. THEY ARE THE CONTINUITY MODEL LITTLE SIMILAR TO THE MOBIUS. HAND CRAFTED IN SOLID 18 KARATS OF HIGH POLISHED YELLOW GOLD AND SUITED AT THE REVERSE WITH OMEGA BACKS FOR FASTENING CLIPS, CAN BE EASYLI CONVERTED FOR PIERCED.
THE EARRINGS WAS CONCEIVED AS A CONTINUOUS FREE-FROM SWIRL ELEMENT.
VIVIANNA TORUN BULOW-HUBE, KNOWN AS TORUN, (1927-2004) WAS ONE OF THE SWEDISH MOST IMPORTANT JEWELERS OF THE 20th CENTURY AND THE MOST PROLIFIC DESIGNER OF THE GEORG JENSEN COMPANY. SHE WAS VERY FAMOUS SINCE WAS THE FIRST WOMAN SILVERSMITH IN HER PERIOD AND PROMOTE IN ALL HER DESIGNS THE ANTI-STATUS JEWELRY. SHE HAS PRODUCED WORKS FOR GEORG JENSEN SINCE 1967. ALL HER DESIGNS ARE VERY POPULAR AND HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE.
ABOUT THIS PAIR OF EARRINGS, THEY ARE VERY RARE, INCE THE GEORG JENSEN COMPANY MOSTLY PRODUCE THE SILVER VERSIONS, THE GOLD ONES ARE RARELY TO SEE IN THE AFTER MARKET DUE THE VERY LOW PRODUCTION, USUALLY LIMITED TO JUST 10 PIECES OE LESS.
