Exceptional pair of statement drop earrings, crafted with classical patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted with French hooks for pierced ears and are embellished with a great selection of thirty-two natural earth mined gemstones, such; white colorless diamonds and Colombian vivid green emeralds.

Diamonds: Mount in prongs settings, with 20 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 2.40 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity

Diamonds: Mount in grain flush setting, with 10 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.06 carats white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity

Emeralds: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 2 emerald cornered cut (7.11 x 5.65 x 4.43 mm) and (7.06 x 5.27 x 4.74 mm) of natural Colombian vivid green emeralds with a weight of 1.22 carats and 1.24 carats respectively.

Note: This pair of emeralds were mined in the region of the Muzo-Coscuez mine in Colombia. Has a perfect even color saturation, with no open windows, has great Cristal transparency and has a substantial size.

Colombian Emeralds

The Muzo-Coscuez emerald district, is a town and municipality in western Boyacá province, in Colombia. Contains several mines, although the Muzo mine is undoubtedly the best known, the Coscuez mine is rapidly gaining significance as a major source of fine emeralds. Yet few in the trade outside of Colombia are aware of the importance of Coscuez or know about the emeralds mined there. The Coscuez mine is literally hundreds of years old, and its history is closely tied to that of Muzo. Located only about 10 km apart, the two areas also share many geologic features and both are currently exploited using open-cut mining methods. The Coscuez emeralds are similar to Muzo stones in their physical properties, but they occur in a somewhat broader range of hue and saturation.
