French Art-deco clips-on earrings with diamonds & turquoises.
This is a beautiful pair of clips-on earrings created in Paris France during the late art deco period, back in the 1935-1938. The gorgeous pair has been designed as a left and right in solid .900/.999 platinum and embellished with forty-two natural white colorless diamonds and two blue turquoises. They are fitted at the reverse with concealed comfortable French omega backs in white gold of 18 karats and the addition of gold posts for pierced ears can be easily done.
Diamonds: Mounted in graduated pave settings, with 42 European round cut diamonds, with a combined weight of about 2.52 carats, white colorless F color, VS clarity.
Diamonds: Mounted in prongs settings, with 6 graduated European marquise cut diamonds, with a combined weight of about 1.26 carats, white colorless F color, VS clarity.
Turquoises: Mount in bezel settings, with 2 round cabochon cuts (15 x 15 x 7 mm) of natural blue turquoises, with an estimate combined weight of about 23.84 carats (calculated by formula).
Weight: 15.95 Grams, (10.25 Dwt.).
Measurements: 32 mm by 30 mm (1.26 x 0.18 Inches) and raise 10 mm.
Hallmarks: They are both are stamped with French touch marks; the maker's mark Ste. MH inside a lozenge cartouche, the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold backs and the dog's head for the platinum parts.
