A starfish pendant brooch made in France.
This gorgeous piece of high jewelry, was created in Paris France, back in the 1960. This is a very useful convertible pendant-brooch designed in the shape of a stylized starfish of five-points. It is embellished with sixty-four earth mined natural gemstones, such; white colorless diamonds and intense red rubies. The piece was masterfully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish and parts made up in platinum for the settings of the diamonds, creating a great contrast. It is fitted at the reverse with double hinged pins bars to wear as a brooch and two discrete rings to wear in a chain or necklace. This is a great piece of French jewelry, with exceptional quality.
Diamonds: Mounted in a French pave setting, with 58 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 3.12 carats, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity.
Rubies: Mounted in four-prongs settings, with 6 calibrated round faceted vivid red rubies with 3.60 carats. The rubies are Burmese, loupe clean and vivid red with great saturation.
Birthstone: Ruby for the month of July.
Weight: 29.95 Grams, (19.21 Dwt).

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the mark of the eagle head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "MADE IN FRANCE 18KT".
