French 1790 Rare Georgian Period Pendant Of A Carved Cherub In 18Kt Yellow Gold Mounting
French 18th century carved pendant.
Very rare piece, created in France during the middle Georgian period (1714-1837) circa 1790. The gorgeous carved piece, depicts the profile of a winged cherub facing to the right, with little wings. It was mounted in a custom made frame crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats. The carving is attached from the back, with to invisible pins.
The carving is exceptional, with great attention to detail, especially in the texture of the wings and the plump expression of the cherub's face
Have a total weight of 7.4 Grams and a measures of 44 mm by 24 mm (1.73 x 0.95 Inches).
It is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips or missing parts.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this pendant is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The carved, are secured in the setting. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
