Beautiful three-dimensional oval pieces, created in Paris France by the exclusive jewelry house of Fred joaillier, circa late 1970's. This rare earrings has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished surfaces and suited with posts, for pierced ears and omega backs for fastening clips.
They are mounted with bezels in the centers, with a matching pair of oval cabochon cut (12 x 10 x 7 mm) of natural Colombian vivid green emeralds, with an combined weight of 12.56 carats.
These main gemstones are accented around, with bezels, that are holding 14 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, 1.40 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity.
Have a total weight of 22.4 Grams and a measures of 25 mm by 21 mm (1 x 0.83 Inches).
Stamped, with French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's mark Ste G (Societe G.) and signed, "FRED PARIS".

Note: The emeralds are Colombian, not oiled, with origin from the Coscuez region in he Muzo emerald district, in Bocaya, Colombia. Although the Muzo mine is undoubtedly the best known, the Coscuez mines are rapidly gaining significance as a major source of fine emeralds.
