Beautiful pair of hoop earrings, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Fred Joaillier, back in the late 1970's. This gorgeous pair is a real statement, carefully crafted as a left and right in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are embellished with a great assortment of fifty-six natural earth mined diamonds. The earrings are fitted with a very unusual and innovative retractable hinged pressures clips for fastening.
Diamonds: Mounted in a French pave setting, with 56 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.68 carats, white-colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.
Weight: 20.85 grams, (13.40 Dwt).
Measurements: 26 mm by 24 mm by 9 mm (1.02 x 0.95 x 0.35 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with French marks and British London import marks, four times with the head of the eagle for the assay of the gold, the maker's mark Ste. J inside a lozange cartouche, the mark for the assay of the 18kt gold and signed in full, "FRED PARIS .750 18KT Ste. J FRANCE". British import mark DM with letter code C for the date of 1977 and 750 for the assay of the 18kt gold.
