Frascarolo 1960 Milano Enameled Tiger Bracelet In 18Kt Yellow Gold With 3.82 Cts In Diamonds & Rubies
Magnificent jeweled bracelet designed by Pierino Frascarolo (1928-1976).
A fantastic highly sculptured bracelet cuff from the bestiary collection of the famed Italian jeweler and designer, Pierino Frascarolo. This impressive and intricate flexible bracelet depict the whimsical figure of a roaring white Tiger with black stripes.
This rare piece, was crafted during the Mid-Century period, around the 1960's in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with accents of white gold for the diamonds settings. It is suited with three sections of hinges flexible links and a double push clasp lock, with a slash for extra security,
The entire body is carefully decorated, with applications of black and white hot enamels.
The tiger's face is embellished, with a graduated pave setting of 90 European round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of 2.70 carats, F/G color, VS-2/SI-1 clarity.
The eyes are bezel set, with a matching pair of pear shaped cuts of natural Burmese vivid red rubies (1.12 Ctw).
It is pretty heavy, with a total weight of 139.1 grams and fit a wrist up to 7 inches (18 Cm). The widest part has a measure of 27 mm (1.06 Inches).
Stamped in a plaque under the head, with the Italian marks; the maker's mark for Frascarolo. the assay hallmarks and signed, "MODELE DEPOSE F.C. MADE IN ITALY .750 18 KT *347AL".
Pierino Frascarolo, was born in 1928 in Milan Italy. He began his career as an apprentice with the Fratelli Lunati company. Subsequently, he founded his own firm with the partnership of Aldo Lenti. In 1948, he moved his jewelry factory to Corso Matteotti. He is well-known for his enamel and gold animals created throughout the 1960s. Later, Lenti and Frascarolo separated and the latter formed Frascarolo & co. in New York city with Mr. Adriano Gugliada. Frascarolo died in Valenza in July 1976 at the young age of just forty-eight.
