AUSTRIAN 1890 Decorative Seated Bull Dog In Polychrome Terracotta Model
An Austrian antique English bulldog in terracotta.
This is an antique large figure of a seated English Bulldog created in Vienna Austria in the last quarter of the 19th century, back in 1890. The sculpted oversized seated dog has been handcrafted and modeled from terracotta. It is embellished with polychromate cold paintings; a reddish collar and the eyes are made of crystal. This very well-behaved dogs originate from Austria and dates from the late 19th century. Austria was renowned for producing these expertly cold painted terracotta animals. This is a nice decorative collector’s item in very realistic and naturalistically cold painted terracotta with inset glass eyes.

Condition: The overall condition of this Terracotta English bulldog is excellent. Beside the little normal wear there is no damage and all parts are secured in their settings. This figure was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition & authenticity.
