Sculptural ring designed by Dinh Van.

An elegant and sleek wearable little sculpture, created in Paris, France by the genius artist-jeweler Dinh Van, Circa late 1970's. It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish.

Embellished on top over a pedestal, with a cubic element (7 x 7 x 7 mm) carved from natural Afghani blue lapis lazuli of about 2 carats.

Have a total weight of 3.6 Grams and the actual size is 5, sizeable. 

Stamped, with French Hallmarks; the maker's Maitre cartouche Ste DD (Societe Dinh Van), the gold assay mark and signed in full, "DINH VAN 18 KT". 

Jean Dinh Van is a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Objects du Vertu".
