Gorgeous modernist sculptural ring, created in New York city at the jewelry atelier of David Webb, back in the 1980. This large nail ring is vintage (not new) has been designed with bold and sharp patterns and was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish. This ring was originally designed by Aldo Cipullo back in the 1968 in collaboration with David Webb.
Weight: 20.98 Grams, (13.45 Dwt.).
Size: 10 and can be easily resized.
Measurements: 27 mm by 29 mm (1.06 x 1.14 Inches) and raise 5 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the marks for the assay of the gold, the serial numbers and signed, "©DAVID WEBB 18 KT E278".
David Webb
He was an iconic American jeweler. On July 28, 1948, he founded David Webb, the company, which opened at 2 West 46th Street. Among his clients were Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Barbara Streisand and Beyoncé have also worn his jewelry. Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1925, Webb was a self-taught designer whose work included dragon bracelets, Maltese cross brooches and animal motifs. In 1964, The Duke of Windsor purchased a bracelet for his wife. Diana Vreeland, a noted columnist and editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, was often seen with a David Webb black-and-white enamel zebra bangle.
