A gem set cocktail ring designed by David Webb (1925-1975).

Beautiful cocktail ring designed in New York city at the jewelry atelier of David Webb, back in the 1970's. This statement piece has been crafted with his iconic bombe shape in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and accents of .950/.999 platinum for the diamonds settings. The surface is finished with hammered patterns and embellished with a very nice selection of natural gemstones

Diamonds: Pave set with 32 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 1.60 carats, E/F color, VVS-1 clarity.

Gemstones: Mounted on top with one pear double cabochon cut (28 x 21 x 15 mm) carved from natural translucent rock quartz with a weight of 42.76 carats.

Weight: 31.8 Grams, (20.38 Dwt).

Size: 6, sizeable.

Measurements: From the top view is 34 mm by 22 mm (1.34 x 0.87 Inches) and rise 20 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the platinum assay mark and signed in full, "WEBB 18KT PLAT"

David Webb (1925-1975), was an American jeweler. On July 28, 1948, he founded David Webb, the company, which opened at 2 West 46th Street. Among his clients were Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis  and Barbara Streisand and Beyoncé have also worn his jewelry. Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1925, Webb was a self-taught designer whose work included dragon bracelets, Maltese cross brooches and animal motifs. In 1964, The Duke of Windsor purchased a bracelet for his wife. Diana Vreeland, a noted columnist and editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, was often seen with a David Webb black-and-white enamel zebra bangle.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
