A VINTAGE SQUARED CHECKERBOARD PAIR, CREATED BY CUMMINGS BACK IN THE 1981 AT THE TIFFANY & CO. ATELIER, IN NEW YORK CITY. THEY ARE HAND CRAFTED IN SOLID AND FROSTED YELLOW GOLD OF 18 KARATS AND .950/1000 PLATINUM WITH .050/1000 IRIDIUM.
EMBELLISHED WITH AN EXCEPTIONAL PAVE SETTING OF 166 ROUND BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS. 2.49 CARATS, E/F COLOR, VS-1 CLARITY

THEY ARE SUITED WITH OMEGA BACKS FOR FASTENING CLIPS, AND POSTS FOR PIERCED EARS.

ANGELA CUMMINGS WAS BORN IN AUSTRIA AND MOVED TO THE UNITED STATES WHEN SHE WAS THREE YEARS OLD. SHE STUDIED ART IN ITALY AND GEMOLOGY AND JEWELRY MAKING IN GERMANY. SHE JOINED TIFFANY & COMPANY IN THE 1967 WHERE SHE WORKED EXCLUSIVELY UNTIL 1984 WHEN HE DEPARTED TO BEGIN HER OWN COMPANY. SHE PRESENTED HER CREATIONS AT BERGDORF GOODMAN IN NYC WITH AN INSIDE BOUTIQUE. SHE CLOSE THE BOUTIQUE AND ATELIER IN THE 2003.
