Exceptional convertible Day and Night pair of drops earrings with red Coral
Outstanding colorful pair from the beginning of the 1970's, fabulously crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and platinum plaque settings for the gemstones. They are embellished with a geometric pattern of stripes, applied. with black hot enamel. Suited with posts (Removable) for pierced ears and omega backs for fastening clips.
The main decorative elements, are the superb carvings of natural Italian red coral. They are 2 scalloped almond shaped pieces (18 x 12 mm) and 2 tear-drops of (40 x 12 mm), with a combined weight of about 98 carats.
The reverse have an invisible hinged hooks, to dismount the coral drops from the upper part and easy convert this pair into day or night.
The textured platinum elements are set with 14 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.42 carats, G/H color, VS/SI clarity.
The total weight is 52.3 grams and have a drop measure of 76 mm (3 inches) or 26 mm (1.02 inches) respectively.
Stamped with the assay hallmarks, "18 KT PLAT".
Note: The coral carvings are of the best high quality, from Sardinia in southern Italy.
They are in perfect condition and are perfectly matched in size and color, with out any spot.
