Clip on earrings designed by Chaumet.

Fabulous clip on earrings, created in Paris France by the Jewelry house of Chaumet, back in the 1970. Designed as a left and right pair and embellished with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones. This pair were crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and fitted at the reverse with French omega backs for fastening clips. The additions of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

Diamonds: Mounted in a pave setting, with 128 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 3.22 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

Sapphires: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 round cabochon cut (5 x 5 x 4.5 mm) of natural royal blue sapphires, with 2.42 carats.

Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.

Weight: 21.40 Grams, (13.72 Dwt).

Measurements: 24 mm by 20 mm (0.95 x 0.79 Inches).

Hallmarks Stamped with French marks, the maker's mark cartouche NC with a moon and star, the mark of the eagle for the assay and guarantee of the 18kt gold, the six digits serial numbers and signed, "CHAUMET PARIS OR .750 102945".

Chaumet

The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.
