A vintage pair of earrings, made in Paris France by the jewelry house of Chaumet, back in the late 1970's. These earrings has been crafted as a left and right pairs, with twisted fluted patterns in a combination of yellow and white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted at the reverse with customized French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts can be easily done.

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre mark JC inside a lozange cartouche, the serial numbers and signed, "CHAUMET PARIS OR 0.750/1000 RHODIUM NOIRE 138985".
Chaumet
Was a French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.
