Quilted hoops earrings designed by Chaumet.

A vintage pair of earrings, made in Paris France by the jewelry house of Chaumet, back in the 1970's. This earrings has been crafted as a left and right pairs, with geometric quilted patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted at the reverse with customized French omega backs for fastening clips and posts (Removable).

Weight: 32.60 Grams (20.89 Dwt.).

Measurements: 27 mm by 17 mm (1.06 x 0.67 Inches). 

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre mark JC inside a lozange cartouche, the serial numbers and signed, "CHAUMET PARIS .750 105714".

Chaumet: The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.
