Sagittarius Zodiac Necklace designed by Chaumet.

Very rare, oversized and massive piece, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Chaumet, back in the early 1970. This gorgeous Sagittarius Zodiac pendant has been crafted as an sculpture in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and suited with a movable bale to display into a chain, a cord or a necklace. Actually is accompanied by a fabulous chain with textured rectangular links, created by the same Chaumet company, with a secure hinged lock and a double security figure 8 with a little chain for extra safety.

The craftsmanship displayed is exceptional with gorgeous details. 

Has a total weight of 155.3 Grams and a measurements of 80 mm by 98 mm (3.15 x 3.85 Inches).

The chain alone have a length is 31 Inches (78.75 Cm) and a weight of 75.7 Grams.

The pendant have a weight of 79.8 grams.

Both pieces are stamped, with beautiful French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche JC associated to Chaumet and signed, "CHAUMET PARIS".

Chaumet: The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.
