Charles Turi, start his jewelry designer firm in the early 1947 when he just returned from the US Army, but originally, he was a Hungarian born immigrant to the United States. He created jewelry pieces that were classic with art deco patterns and easy to be marketed, with the high fashions that women loved in that period of the post war. Charles Turi, only used very fine quality stones and materials like ebony, coral and color hardstones. He only sold to very high end American and European retailers and his jewelry never was mass produced, could be counted on to be flawlessly executed and strikingly designed, all crafted in 18K or platinum. He passed away in 1997, but the company continues to manufacture with model makers, bench jewelers, and designers continuing the legacy begun by Turi, where quality craftsmanship has always been a requisite part of the design and construction process.
