Classic cocktail earrings designed by Cartier.

This beautiful pair of clips-on earrings, were created in Paris France at the jewelry atelier of George L'Enfant for the iconic jewelry house of Cartier. This modernist gem-set earrings has been carefully crafted with classic patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polish finish and embellished with a gorgeous selection of natural gemstones, such Burmese rubies and white colorless diamonds. They are fitted at the reverse with posts for pierced ears (Removable) and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips.

Rubies: Bezel set in the centers, with 2 pear shaped cabochon cuts (5 x 7 x 4 mm), of Burmese vivid red rubies, with a combined weight of 3.02 carats. by formula. The rubies are natural, transparent, vivid red and from Burmese origin.

Diamonds: Besides in channel settings are mount, with 8 graduated French rectangular step cut Diamonds, 0.50 carats, white colorless D color, VVS-1 clarity.

Diamonds: All accented around in French pave settings, with 64 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 1.92 carats, white colorless D color, VVS-1 clarity.

Weight: 7.75 Grams, (4.97  Dwt).

Measurements: 16 mm by 12 mm (0.63 X 0.47 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with French marks, the eagle head for the assay a guaranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre mark of Ste. GL associated to the atelier of Jacques (George) L'Enfant, the six-digits serial numbers and signed in full as follow, "CARTIER PARIS .750 229810 Ste. GL".

Note: The jewelry atelier of George L'Enfant, was originally founded in 1899 as Duparc and L’Enfant and was located in 47 rue des Petits-Champs & 31 rue Danielle-Casanova, Paris France. The operation ceased in 2003 when purchased by the Bouder firm. This is a great collector's piece with great craftsmanship.

Condition: The overall condition of these Cartier earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 74 gemstones are secured in their settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
