Deco Egyptian revival ring designed by Cartier.
Magnificent and highly collectible cocktail ring, created in Paris France by the house of Cartier, back in the 1980. This flamboyant rare piece was produced as a very special edition and designed with Art deco and egyptian revival patterns. It was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with a geometric motif made up of applications of purple and black hot enamel.
Diamonds: Pave set with 24 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.24 carats tw, D/E color, VS-1 clarity.
Gemstones: Bezel set in the center with one sugarloaf cabochon cut (15 x 10 x 5 mm) of a natural purple amethyst of 6.36 carats.
Others: Bezel set at the sides with two round cabochons cut of amethyst and black jade with a combined weight of 1 carat.
Weight: 18.75 Grams, (12.01 Dwt).
Size: 8, sizeable.
Measurements: From the top view 26 mm by 33 mm (1.02 x 1.30 Inches) and raise 12 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the eagle's head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche for Strauss & Allard associated to Cartier, and signed, "CARTIER PARIS 57".
Note: Originally a similar model was also produced by the Parisian jewelry makers Strauss, Allard & Meyer for Cartier Paris in the 1920. This jewelry atelier was located in 25 rue Taitbout, workshop: 19 rue Louis-le-Grand & later 11 place des Vosges, Paris France.
Collateral: They are accompanied by the designer's presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
