Geometric squared ring designed by Jean Dinh Van for Cartier.
A sophisticate and unusual geometric ring, created by the French master jewelry designer Dinh Van. This wearable little sculpture was designed in Paris, France in 1968, exclusively for the house of Cartier.
It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish and mounted on top with a bezel, with an oval faceted cut (7 x 9 x 5 mm) of a natural color changing alexandrite of 2.35 carats.
Have a weight of 11.95 grams and the actual size is 5, cannot be enlarged.
Stamped, with French hallmarks, serially numbered and signed, "CARTIER DINH VAN 18 KT C. 42780".
Jean Dinh Van, is a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Objets du Vertu".
