A platinum ring with ruby designed by Cartier.

This is a beautiful and very rare vintage ring created in London England by the French jewelry house of Cartier, between the 1955 and 1960. This fabulous vintage ring has been masterfully hand crafted in solid .900/.999 platinum with a delicate and thin brushed finish. The ring is embellished on top, with a great selection of fifteen natural earth mined gemstones, such; white colorless European cut diamonds and an intense red ruby. The ruby is of Burmese origin, natural earth mined and not heated or treated.

Country: London, England; Paris, France.

Period: Post-war, Modernist, 1950-1960.

Ruby: Mounted on top in a four-prongs setting, with 1 oval faceted cut (7 x 6 x 5 mm) of a natural intense vivid red Burmese ruby, with a weight of about. 1.64 carats.

Diamonds: Mounted at the sides in pave settings, with 14 calibrated European brilliant cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 0.56 carats, white colorless E/F color, VVS clarity.

Birthstone: Ruby for the month of July.

Weight: 14.40 grams (9.25 Dwt).

Size: Actually is size 6.25 and may be easily resized up or down on special request.

Measurements: 23 mm by 12 mm (0.75 x 0.59 Inches) and raise 9 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the four-digits serial numbers and signed as follows, "CARTIER LONDON 2775.".
