Cartier 1970 Paris By Dinh Van Cocktail Ring In 18Kt & Platinum With 1.10 Cts Diamonds
Oval cocktail ring designed by Dinh Van for Cartier.
Very rare vintage sculptural piece made in Paris, France, circa 1960's-1970's. This cocktail ring was crafted in 18 karats of high polished yellow gold, with a .900 platinum plaque for the settings of the diamonds.
The center platinum setting is mounted with a French pave of 22 round brilliant cuts diamonds, 1.10 carats, E/F color, VVS-1 clarity.
Have a total weight of 9.8 grams and the actual size is 5, sizeable.
The top view measures are 16 mm by 20 mm.
Stamped, with the serial number, the assay hallmarks and signed, "DINH VAN CARTIER 18 KT IRID PLAT 84798".
Jean Dinh Van is a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Objects du Vertu".
Note: We have not been able to locate another piece like this, only similar rings with others gemstones, such lapis lazuli and rose wood.
It is in perfect condition and are accompanied by the designer's jewelry box.
