A FABULOUS PENDANT DESIGNED BY JEAN DINH VAN FOR CARTIER.
AN OUTSTANDING AND MOST PROBABLY THE UNIQUE PIECE KNOWN OF THIS GEOMETRIC PENDANT. A VERY RARE OPTICAL WEARABLE SCULPTURE CREATED BY THE MASTER DESIGNER DINH VAN. EXCLUSIVELY DESIGNED FOR CARTIER PARIS AND HAND CRAFTED IN SOLID 18 KARATS OF FROSTED YELLOW GOLD AND POLISHED WHITE GOLD.
THIS SCULPTURAL PENDANT WAS CONCEIVED AS A SQUARED BOX WITH A CIRCLE SHAPE IN THE MIDDLE. A WHITE GOLD SPHERE IS SET OVER THE MIRRORED POLISHED CENTER, GIVING THE IMPRESSION OF FLOATING AND MOVING INSIDE THE CIRCLE. THE OPTICAL EFFECT IS UN-PARALLEL AND HAVE A REMINISCENCE TO THE PIECES CREATED BY THE CONTEMPORARY SCULPTOR, ANISH KAPOOR, WHERE HE CREATES SIMILAR PIECES, BUT 50 YEARS LATER.
JEAN DINH VAN IS A FRENCH DESIGNER THAT BEGAN IS SUCCESSFUL CAREER IN THE 1960 DESIGNING FOR THE FRENCH JEWELRY HOUSE CARTIER. IN THE 1972 HE STARTED HIS OWN COMPANY AND THE FOLLOWED YEARS HIS REVOLUTIONARY DESIGNS AND STYLE CAUGHT ON QUICKLY AND LAUNCHED HIM TO THE FOREFRONT OF THE JEWELRY AND FASHION WORLD. ALL HIS DESIGNS ARE VERY GEOMETRIC AND MODERN, BOTH, HIS ORIGINAL VINTAGE PIECES CREATED FOR CARTIER AND THE CONTEMPORARY CREATIONS ARE HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE.
