George Schuler

George Schuler, designed many pieces similar to this, for the jewelry houses of Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and VCA in New York. All his models and designs including these ones, has been US patented. He was in business at 520 Bedford Rd. Pleasantville NY, from 1908 to 1965, specializing in high end gold jewelry which was sold by Cartier, Neiman Marcus, Tiffany, VCA and others. He was awarded the patent in 1947 for his special style of clips on earrings which made the earrings very comfortable to wear, as they would not put any strain on the ear. He also made the preformed parts which you can see comprise this type of brooch being offered. This was about the time jewelry was moving from handmade to more pre-formed parts to be fitted together so that they could be sold more widely in the jewelry department stores such as Neiman Marcus, and the Tiffany, Cartier stores.

Collateral: It is accompanied by the designer's presentation jewelry pouch.

ConditionThe overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The diamond is secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
