BYZANTINE 1650 Orthodox Medal In Copper 18Kt Vermeil Sterling And Diamonds

An Orthodox Byzantine medal from the 16th century.

The main central piece of this pendant is an antique late 17th century archeological Byzantine Orthodox medal. This antique medal was found in the city of Novgorod in Russia and was sand-casted in solid copper back in the, circa 1640-1680. The central medal is specially mount in a custom-made frame, masterfully crafted in solid 18 karats vermeil on sterling silver and embellished with forty-seven sparkling antique rose cut round diamonds. The mounting permit to see both sides of the medal, which is beautifully engraved. Fitted on top with a jeweled jump ring to wear in a chain.

Diamonds: Mounted in flush settings, with 47 antique round cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 0.48 carats. Mixed SI/I clarity.

Weight: 9.75 Grams, (6.25 Dwt).

Condition: The overall condition of this Orthodox medal pendant is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to any part. The 47 diamonds are secured in their settings. This pendant was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
