Outstanding and very rare pair of clips-on earrings, created in Milano Italy by the jewelry house of Bvlgari. This gorgeous pair has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. They are from the Bvlgari collection privee, retailed only in Roma, Paris and Milan. They are embellished with a great assortment of white colorless diamonds and a superb matching pair of natural Colombian emeralds. Fitted at the reverse with post for pierced ears and comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips.
Emeralds: Mount in the center in bezel settings, with 2 cushion sugarloaf cabochon cut cut (10.1 x 9.7 x 5.84 mm) of natural Colombian vivid green emeralds of 8.58 carats.
Diamonds: Mounted around in channel settings, with 24 calibre emerald step cut diamonds, 3.14carats, white colorless F/G color, VVS/VS clarity.
Birthstone: Emeralds for the month of May.
Weight: 14.51 Grams (9.29 Dwt.).
Measurements: 16.5 mm by 16.5 mm (0.65 x 0.65 Inches).
Hallmarks: Both are stamped at the reverse, with the maker's mark, the Italian gold assay mark and signed, "BVLGARI MADE IN ITALY .750 18KT".
Bvlgari
The company was founded in the late 19th century by Sotirio Bulgari, who was born in 1857 in Greece and was descended from a talented family of silversmiths. In 1884 he opened his first shop in Rome on the Via Sistina, and then in 1905 he moved to the actual flag's store in Via dei Condotti. Upon Sotirio’s death in 1932 his sons, Giorgio and Costantino, took over the business. They are credited with creating the highly distinctive ‘Bvlgari’ style, inspired by Greek and Roman classicism revival, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th century Roman school of goldsmiths. The 1970s marked the beginning of Bulgari’s international expansion with the opening of stores in New York (the first overseas), Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo.
