European modern brutalist cocktail ring from the mid-century.

A gorgeous sculptural art-piece created in Europe during the late mid-century period, circa 1960's. This modernist-brutalist ring was crafted, with organics patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats of highly textured surfaces.

Embellished on top, with a large crude-rough natural Colombian emerald in their matrix, with an estimate weight of about 40 carats. The mount is accented around with 5 four-prongs settings that are holding very fine round brilliants cuts diamonds, 0.65 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

This piece was realized, using the old millennial method of "Cie Perdue" lost wax in which a tiny wax sculpture is converted to a clay form mold. Then the mold is heated until the wax flows out and is filled with gold. The mold is broken to release the piece, with the result that each cast piece is one-of-a- kind.

Have a gross weight of 26.8 grams and the actual size is 5, can be sized.

It is a pretty and very large piece, with a top view measures of 26 mm (1.02 inches) by 37 mm (1.46 inches) and raise 24 mm (0.95 inch) over the finger.

Stamped, with the precise diamonds carat's weight and the European gold assay hallmark inside a cartouche, "K 18 D0.65".

Note: The brutalist era defined by big looks, somewhat of those from the classic Hollywood glam era, yet redefined by the used of a more "natural approach" to setting using flowed gold and nugget-esque looks from artists like Arthur King.

Very impressive piece, with great eye appeal and very similar to the Arthur King's jewelry pieces.

It is in perfect condition, with all the original patina.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
